Design to Cost Culture for an ever-present cost-cutting goal

Design to Cost (DTC) means Value Engineering: Italian design with the value of customers' products under the spotlight.

Design-to-Cost, as part of cost management techniques, is a systematic approach for controlling and rationalizing costs in product development and manufacturing.

Cost management is therefore integrated with decision making at the design stage: there is no design going only for aesthetics and good shapes, but there is design bringing value to ideas.

With this approach the product value is a major variant to be maximized during the project.
